The Sonel PQM-700 Power Quality Analyser measures and records electrical parameters according to IEC 61000-4-30 Class S. It is a cost-effective load parameter recorder making it suitable for electricians and maintenance personnel, as well as consumers and producers of renewable energy (wind farms, solar farms) who require 4-quadrant power analysis.

The Sonel PQM-700 Power Quality Analyser is equipped with a built-in heater enabling it to deliver high-accuracy readings compliant with IEC 61000-4-30 Class S in conditions as cold as -20°C.

Up to 1100 parameters, including average, minimum, maximum and instantaneous readings, can be saved to the Sonel PQM-700 Power Quality Analyser. Its internal, rechargeable battery ensures that the Sonel PQM-700 can continue to record data for up to six hours after power failure. Data is recorded onto a removable 2GB memory card; it can be downloaded to a PC using a USB connection or a card reader.

The Sonel PQM-700 Power Quality Analyser has four current inputs and can provide a current measurement for the neutral conductor. It also offers the following measurement and logging capabilities:

Current L1, L2, L3, N (four measurement inputs): supports a maximum measurement range of 6kA, depending on the current clamp used, and can determine the average, minimum, maximum and instant current measurements; provides interoperability with current transducers
Voltages L1, L2, L3, N (four measurement inputs): supports interoperability with voltage transducers and can measure average, minimum, maximum and instant voltages up to 760V
Unbalance of voltage and currents
Current and voltage event logging with oscillograms and half-period RMS charts
Power measurements: active power (P), reactive power (Q), distortive power (D), and apparent power (S) with identification of the nature of the reactive power (capacitive, inductive); reactive power is calculated using the Budeanu and IEEE 1459 methods
Power factor (PF): cosφ, tanφ
Energy measurements: active energy (EP), reactive energy (EQ) and apparent energy (ES)
Crest factors for current (CFI) and voltage (CFU)
Frequency: 40Hz-70Hz
Harmonics up to the 40^th in voltage and current
Total harmonic distortion THD for current and voltage
Short-term (PST) and long-term (PLT) light flicker index
