Sonel PQM-711


The Sonel PQM-711 Power Quality Analyser has been designed to meet the needs of energy consumers and producers, including renewable energy such as photovoltaic and wind farms. It can be used to collect the data required to develop power infrastructure, identify potential problems, and monitor and evaluate the efficacy of any corrective actions.

The Sonel PQM-711 versatile power quality analyser for remote analysis in the A class is a device suitable for use on all types of networks with a rated voltage range from 110 V to 1000 V either directly or indirectly through transformers.

Based on advanced technology, the Sonel PQM-711 power quality analyser allows comprehensive measurement, analysis and recording of 50/60 Hz power network parameters and power quality according to the European standard EN 50160 and the Regulation of the Minister of Economy on detailed conditions for the operation of the power system.


The Sonel PQM-711 Power Quality Analyser can measure a variety of electrical parameters including transients:

  • Transients: up to ±8000V; 10MHz sampling frequency; 650ns minimal transient time
  • Voltages L1, L2, L3, N, PE (five measurement inputs): up to 1000V; the Sonel PQM-711 measures the average, minimum, maximum and instant voltages, and supports interoperability with voltage transducers
  • Current L1, L2, L3, N (four measurement inputs): up to 6kA (depending on the current clamp); the Sonel PQM-711 measures minimum, maximum, average and instant currents, and supports interoperability with current transducers
  • Crest factor for current (CFI) and voltage (CFU)
  • Unbalance of voltage and current
  • Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) for voltage and current
  • Up to 50th harmonics for voltage and current
  • Interharmonics (measured as groups)
  • K factor
  • Power factor: cosφ, tanφ
  • Power: active (P), reactive (Q), distortion (D), and apparent (S) with identification of the nature of reactive power (capacitive and inductive)
  • Calculation of reactive power using the Budeanu and IEEE 1459 methods
  • Energy: active (EP), reactive (EQ) and apparent (ES)
  • Short-term flicker (PST)
  • Long-term flicker (PLT)
  • Frequency: 40Hz to 70Hz
  • Control signals: up to 3000Hz
